Ashopton to Derwent

Ashopton, like it's sister village, Derwent, is now submerged beneath the waters of the Ladybower reservoir. Ashopton is completely submerged and covered in silt, but Derwent does surface occasionally.

The last time was in 2004 when we took some photographs of the remains of the village including Derwent church.
