This program is Freeware and you download and use it entirely at your own risk.

Holiday Home Manager is a program we have developed ourselves over the last seven years, and can be used as a bookings manager for an unlimited number of cottages. It will allow you to register your customer's details, track payments, generate confirmation letters and emails, calculate your profit and loss and much more. Best of all, it's completely free, there's no catch, no payments, that's why it's called Freeware. We're both IT professionals and you can be assured you are getting a solid, bug-free system.

Holiday Home Manager is now 100% Vista compliant and will run on Windows 95, 98, 2K and XP as well. We are currently re-writing the user manual, which we hope to have completed by the end of September. We will put a note here when it's complete. To download it, Choose 'Help' and then 'About Holiday Home Manager' from the menu bar and you'll find a link called 'Online manual'. Just click that to download the manual from our website.

You can download the program from here, but if you'd prefer, we can supply it on a CD. Just click on the 'Contact us' button above, make a note of our address and send us an SAE, and we'll send you a CD that you can keep at no cost.

Version 1.61 released 23 January 2008.

Version 1.57 fixed a bug in the year on year summary, which was not including bookings at year end if they ended in the following year.

Version 1.58 was not issued.

Version 1.59 fixes one small cosmetic problem under Vista. On the main form the 'help' menu bar option appeared on a separate line.

Version 1.61 fixed a leap year bug (how embarrassing ;-) where the calendar correctly displayed each leap year but didn't allow you to enter a booking starting on 29 Feb in a leap year. Bookings spanning 29 Feb were OK.

Holiday Home Manager v1.61 Upgrade

If you are upgrading, it is critical that you back up the old program and data, which can be found in the c:\Programs Files\Holiday Home Manager\ folder. Depending on how old a version you have, the new version will have to make amendments to your databases. Though this has been thoroughly tested by our chief tester (ie, Linda), who would have killed me if I'd broken anything, please do back up your data before upgrading.

If you are not confident carrying out an install, we are happy to help. Honest, we don't mind. We get a lot of feedback on the package and the more people using it, the better.
