The Vernon Chapel, on the right wing of the nave, houses memorials to the Manners and Vernon families of Haddon.

It runs for 8.5 miles between Blackwell Mill Junction, 3 miles east of Buxton, and Coombs viaduct, 1 mile SE of Bakewell. Four tunnels have been closed for safety reasons, but alternative paths are available. The Bakewell to Longstone section is suitable for cyclists and horse riders.
