Arkwright's Mill. Mill Lane, Cromford (Tel: 01629 823256) World's first successful water powered cotton spinning mill built by Richard Arkwright in 1771. Exhibition. Shops and restaurant available on site. Open daily 9am-5pm.

Cromford Canal Towpath. From Arkwright's Mill to Ambergate. Parking at Cromford Wharf, High Peak Junction and Whatstandwell.

High Peak Trail. The High Peak Trail runs for 17 miles from High Peak Junction, near Cromford. You can walk, cycle or ride a horse on the trails all year round.
