Disley, Stockport (Tel: 01663 762023) One of the greatest estates of the North of England, owned by the National Trust, 1,400 acres of parkland within which you will find red and fallow deer. A house with 600 years of history capturing Elizabethan, Stuart, Georgian and Edwardian times. Coffee shop, restaurant and gift shops on site. House open Friday- Tuesday 1pm-5pm, Bank Holiday Monday 11am-5pm. Park: open daily 8am-8.30pm. Garden: open Friday- Tuesday 11am-5pm, Wednesday- Thursday 1pm-5pm. Admission charged.
